This is a very effective degreaser that works extremely well in an acidic pickling solution with a PH range between 1.0 - 3.0.
After rehydrating your skins or capes, place them in your pickling solution. Allow them to thoroughly pickle for 3-4 days until they are loose and plump. Shave them if necessary. If shaving is necessary, after they have been shaven, now add 2 fluid ounces of PD-619 to every 5 gallons of your pickling solution. If you are using wet drained skin weight, use 1 fluid ounce to every 5 pounds of skin weight. Mix well. Allow the skins to soak in the pickle/degreaser solution for another 4-16 hours. Now remove the skins or capes, rinse them well, neutralize and tan.
